C.M. McClung and W.B. Lockett
Calvin Morgan McClung was the founder and president of the C.M. McClung and Company wholesale hardware company. His relationship with the Lockett family and the Kelly Axe Manufacturing Company led to the presence of quite a few ""Kelly"" company axes.
William Ballard Lockett, Jr., was an influential socialite of Knoxville, as well as a General Manager for the Kelly Axe Manufacturing Company, the President of the American Axe and Tool Company from 1915 until 1924, and the brother-in-law of William C. and James P. Kelly. His death signaled the final merger of the American Axe and Tool Company with the Kelly Axe Manufacturing Company into the Kelly Axe and Tool Company.
